What is Credit Repair?

  • Credit repair is a service provided under the Credit Repair Organizations Act that allows credit repair service providers to assist consumers in the correction of items on their consumer credit reports that prove to be inaccurate, outdated, or unverifiable.  This can result in debt relief and possibly debt resolution, which can help free up cash flow and allow people to save for a better and brighter future.


How does our service work?


Do you have to mail your own letters?

  • Not at all!  We are the experts and will do all the heavy lifting or you. Let us deal with all the credit dispute tactics while helping you build new credit though our education plan and tools.
  • We are a full service credit restoration company to guide and help you succeed every step of the way. 
  • The only thing that we ask for you to do is mail in your original responses from the credit bureaus disputes.  These will be uploaded into your portal and we will then shred and dispose of the originals by us. No more papers laying around the home!


What about “online” disputes? 

  • While using “online” disputes may seem like an easier way to fix your credit, in many ways, it can limit your credit potential.  The Fair and Accurate Credit Transaction Act of 2003 allowed for consumers to dispute items on their credit report online, however, consumers waive many of their rights under the Fair Credit Reporting Act when doing so. Some of these include the bureaus not having to show how they verified an item and when it comes to reinsertion, the bureaus get to ignore parts of the FCRA in doing so- the parts where they need to notify you of such actions.  This makes it easier on them to re-insert a negative item on the report where before the steps and cost involved in them doing so under the FCRA reduces the chance of them re-inserting items back on your report.  Again, while it may seem easier to dispute, it also makes it much easier for the credit bureaus to ignore parts of the law that protect your rights.

What is our Success Rate?

  • It is our goal to get every one of our clients back on the path to perfect credit again and to a healthy financial future.  However, depending on the current damage done to someone’s credit the success varies from person to person.  However, if someone is willing to stick with the program and do his or her part, his or her chances of success are much greater.


How long do the bureaus have to respond?

  • From the time the credit bureaus receive your dispute, they have 30 days to respond.  This does not mean that they will remove any items, but they will send a response that gives us something to work with and get the process moving forward.


Why do I have to prove my identity?

  • Your identity and safety are very important, and the credit bureaus require you to have it.


You must send at least three of the following:

  • Driver’s License
  • Social Security number
  • Cancelled Check
  • Utility Bill
  • Pay Stub
  • W2 Form
  • Lease Agreement
  • Bank Statement


 Do I have to have a credit monitoring account?

  • We do not require it, but we do offer account monitoring services though www.PCACreditProtect.com. Feel free to ask one of our Credit Specialists for more details.

  • We will assist you in obtaining credit records for you from all three credit bureaus;
  • Within 24 hours of enrollment, we will set up your own Private Client Portal which will allow you to check the progress made in your credit restoration ANYTIME;
  • We will immediately email you our credit education and 26 Myths of Credit power points.
  • We will prepare and submit an initial round of dispute letters for items appearing on your credit reports, which you indicate are either inaccurate, incomplete, obsolete or unverifiable as per the Fair Credit Reporting Act;
  • We may prepare and submit follow-up additional rounds of dispute letters with the credit bureaus;
  • We will consistently update your Private Client Portal. You will receive email and text alerts when your portal has been updated. 
  • We will provide telephone and e-mail support in answering questions regarding your credit profile. Our Help Desk is available to you as well.  
  • We will do our best to make this process as easy and painless for you.  Although we cannot guarantee specific results, it is our goal to get you back on the path to perfect credit again and a better future!


How long does this service take?

  • We work as quickly and efficiently as possible, to make this process as painless and quick for you.  In general, clients should be prepared for a 6 month commitment. We cannot guarantee a certain end date when it will be completed because no 2 credit reports are the same! Remember,  it took years to do the damage to your credit, so it will take time to repair the damage that has been done. 


How much will my score go up?

  • This differs from person to person.  We cannot guarantee a specific score improvement, but after you FREE consultation and seeing your credit in more detail, we may be able to give you some ideas of what to expect. Please remember that no 2 client’s credit reports are the same!
